That I, Abel Merrill of Gray in the County of Cumberland of Commonwealth of Massachusetts, Yeoman, in consideration of the sum of fifteen hundred dollars paid by Samuel Mayall of Gray in the County Aforesaid, Clothier, the receipt thereof I do hereby acknowledge - do herby give, grant, bargain, sell and convey unto the said Samuel Mayall, his heirs and assigns forever, a certain piece or parcel of land situated in Gray, aforesaid, the whole of lot number eight in the second division of Gray, aforesaid, except one acre and two thirds of an acre of land which I sold to Rueben Hill, and except one quarter of an acre* of land which is reserved for a Burial Yard, and the said Samuel Mayall is to have one acre and two thirds of an acre of land which I bought of Reuben Hill as will more fully appear, reference being had to said Deeds and also forty acres of land off of the southerly end of lot number five in the second division, the whole supposed to contain one hundred acres of land the same more or less, together with the buildings thereon standing…

I, James Small, first of Gray in the County of Cumberland & State of Maine, yeoman, in consideration of the sum of ten dollars paid by Daniel W. Green, Treasurer of the Town of Gray in the County and State aforesaid, the receipt whereof I do hereby acknowledge, do hereby give, grant, bargain, sell, and convey unto the said Daniel W. Gree or his successors in said office for the use of the inhabitants of Gray or their heirs and assigns forever, a certain piece of land lying in said Gray, it being a part of lots numbered five in the second division of lands in said Town bounded beginning on the easterly side of the County road leading from E. Cobbs to Portland and on the South east side line of Reuben Hills land, thence running southerly on lots no five & on the line of the road about ten feet to the southerly post in the gate of the burying yard fence thence running an easterly course or as the fence is now made to the westerly corner of the burying ground which was gave to the town by Abel Merrill, thence running northwest to Reuben Hills land, thence running southwest to the road the first mentioned bounds.

Josiah Hill of Gray, in consideration of $30.00 paid by the Inhabitants of theTown of Gray, through their Treasurer, Jeremiah Pennell, Esq,, conveyed a certain piece or parcel of land situate in said Gray and lying on the easterly side of the road leading from Gray Corner to Portland, adjoining the South Gray Burying ground and at this time is enclosed by a new post and board fence, and annexed to and become part of the burial ground at South Gray, containing 58 sq rods more or less*;
Intending to include two detached pieces of land recently enclosed with and made a part of said burying ground.
Reserving a certain apple tree standing near the line of the road within the burying yard fence.
